Getting to Hakuba

From Tokyo Station the Nagano Bullet Train takes 1 ½ hours to get to Hakuba Train Station. It runs multiple times daily.

The Nagano Bullet train is quite expensive; a cheaper option is to catch the Super Azusa Train from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo to Hakuba Station. The scenic trip takes 3 ½ hours. Just be aware that the central stations in Tokyo can be quite daunting as they are very large and have massive crowds day and night.

Buses to Hakuba can be caught from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo to Hakuba. They are an easy way to travel and take around 4 ½ hours weather depending.

Both Hakuba 47 and Goryu Toomi are five minute bus or taxi rides from the town of Hakuba.
