St Moritz Accommodation Review

One of the World’s most popular ski villages St Moritz has accommodation in hotels, chalets, bed and breakfasts and rental apartments. More than half of the hotel beds in St Moritz are in either 5 or 4 star hotels.

The town of St Moritz is split into 2 sections; St Moritz Dorf and St Moritz Bad. St Moritz Dorf is the main town with direct access to the slopes and where the main bulk of accommodation, restaurants and shops are located. St Moritz Bad is a 10 minute stroll from St Moritz Dorf or a short free bus ride. St Moritz Bad was built in the 1970’s for extra accommodation options. It has direct cable car access to the Corviglia and Piz Nair skiing and snowboarding areas.

The 4 star Hotel Monopol St Moritz is a two minute walk to the ski base area. The hotel has large modern rooms and suites with sitting areas, desks, flat screen televisions, bathrobes and slippers. The hotel has an in-house restaurant serving sensational Italian cuisine, buffet breakfasts, two bars, a roof top sun terrace and a wellness centre with a Jacuzzi and massage and beauty treatments.

Close to the train station the 4 star Hotel La Margna St Moritz has single and double rooms and suites. The family run hotel has an in-house restaurant and bar, a breakfast buffet, a wellness centre with a sauna, steam bath and whirlpool and a free ski shuttle bus to and from the ski base areas.

The 3 star Hauser Swiss Quality Hotel St Moritz is in the heart of St Moritz surrounded by designer shops and top quality restaurants. The hotel has single and double spacious rooms with safes, mini bars and satellite televisions. Guests have access to an in-house restaurant and bar, a sun terrace, ski and snowboard storage room, wireless internet in the lobby, private car parking and an in-house specialty chocolate shop.

The 3 star Hotel Nolda in St Moritz Bad is 100 metres from the Cable Car and a five minute bus trip to St Moritz Dorf. It has single and double rooms with satellite televisions, minibars, and modern ensuites. The family run 3 star Hotel Corvatsch also in St Moritz Bad has very comfortable rooms and an Italian/Swiss restaurant that is renowned for its excellent cuisine. The hotel has a bar, sun terrace, ski and snowboard storage and free car parking. It is a short walk from the cable car.

St. Moritz has over 3,500 rental apartments ranging from 1 bed basic studios to luxury 4 and 5 bedroom apartments.

The Skyline House Ferienapartments St Moritz have one and two bedroom apartments with well equipped kitchens, dining areas and lounge rooms with private balconies overlooking the lake. Located in St Moritz-Bad the apartment complex is close to the cable car and a short bus ride to St Moritz Dorf. Onsite car parking is available as are ski and snowboard lockers.

The cheapest accommodation in St Moritz is at The Youth Hostel St Moritz. The modern hostel has family rooms with private ensuites and shared dormitory bunk rooms. Guests have access to a large common lounge and games room and wireless internet.
