Visitors to Jackson Hole can chose to either stay slope side at Teton Village or downtown at the town of Jackson. The driving time from Jackson to Teton Village is approximately ten minutes. A public bus service operates throughout the day and into the evenings costing $3.00 per person per trip.
Teton Village has slope side accommodation in 5 and 4 star hotels, condominiums, apartments and basic hostel accommodation.
The recently renovated Snake River Lodge & Spa has both luxurious hotel rooms and fully equipped serviced apartments all with king sized beds. The hotel's award winning restaurant Gamefish serves delicious regional foods matched with an international wine list. The lodge has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, saunas, hot tubs and massage treatment rooms.
The Teton Mountain Lodge has stunning rustic guest rooms and suites with in-room boot warmers, room service, a swimming pool and a massive 24 person hot tub on the roof. The hotel has an in-house restaurant and a very popular apres ski bar.
The Teton Club has two and three bedroom condominiums all located within meters of the base area. The condos have fully equipped kitchens, large lounge rooms with fireplaces, a bathroom for each bedroom, daily maid service and undercover secure car parking.
The Hostel Teton Village is just steps from the ski base area. It has king double rooms with private ensuites and dormitory style bunk rooms sleeping 4 guests with private bathrooms. The recently updated hostel has a large recreation room with an open fireplace, games area, televisions and refrigerator. The Hostel has wi-fi and an on-site guest laundry.
Not all of the accommodation is completely ski in ski out but most of the rental apartments are a short walk from the base area. There is a free shuttle bus that runs during the day around the village to transport snow riders to and from the base area.
The relaxed friendly town of Jackson is a 10 minute bus trip from Teton Village and offers a lot more accommodation, shops and restaurants for all levels of budget. Some hotels offer shuttle services to and from Teton Village otherwise the local bus costing $3.00 each way can be caught.
