Lake Louise Accommodation
Lake Louise has no on mountain accommodation. The Village of Lake Louise is a five minute free shuttle bus trip away with accommodation available in hotels, motels, lodges and hostels.
The Lake Louise Inn has economy rooms, king rooms and deluxe suites for all levels of budget. The Inn has two restaurants, a heated indoor swimming pool and is five minutes walk from the town centre.
The Lake Louise International Hostel has rooms with either four or six beds, a bar, internet access and a courtesy shuttle to and from Lake Louise Mountain Resort.
The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is the place to stay. It has both stylish and comfortable hotel rooms and suites all with magnificent views across the lake to the surrounding mountains. It has its own fine dining restaurants, large lounge, spa and excellent customer service.
Banff Accommodation
Banff is a 40 minute drive from Lake Louise. Buses operate to and from Banff and Lake Louise during the day costing around $10 per trip.
At 4,537 feet Banff is the highest town in Canada with accommodation available in 5 star hotels, motels, private chalets, B & Bs and youth hostels.
The magnificent 5 star Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel looks across the town of Banff and caters for guests every requirement.
The Red Carpet Inn and Irwin's Mountain Inn are more affordable hotels while the Bed and Breakfast on Mountain Lane has private good value romantic rooms with fireplaces.
The cheaper SameSun Backpacker Lodge attracts friendly internationals from around the world.
