Aspen Snowmass is made up of four separate mountains; Aspen, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk. Of the four Buttermilk is the only mountain that has no accommodation.
The world famous and glamorous town of Aspen offers the majority of accommodation. It is an old western style town that effortlessly mixes it's old history with new cultures and architecture; accommodation be found in hotels, motels, condominiums, lodges and town homes.
The stylish 4½ star Hotel Jerome opened in Aspen in 1889. It offers luxurious accommodation in large rooms with premium bedding, designer toiletries, 24 hour room service, flat screen televisions and an evening turn down service. The hotel has two in-house restaurants, a popular bar, an outdoor heated pool and hot tub. On mountain ski and snowboard storage is offered as is secure guest valet parking.
The luxury Aspen Square Condominium Hotel is just steps from the Silver Queen Gondola offering accommodation in one, two and three bedroom condominiums. One of the most economical places to stay in Aspen is the Tyrolean Lodge located centrally on Main Street. It has 16 comfortable rooms sleeping from one to five guests with kitchenettes and cable TV. It is within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and bars in Aspen and on the free Aspen Snowmass shuttle bus route which stops outside the front door regularly.
The 2 star Mountain House Lodge is well located within walking distance of the main street and the Silver Queen Gondola. The lodge has double rooms, king rooms and suites as well as shared bunk rooms. Each room has its own ensuite, private balcony and television. Free parking and breakfast is included in the cost of an overnight stay.
Aspen Snowmass is a slope side ski in ski out village. It is not as ritzy as Aspen but still has a wide variety of accommodation, restaurants and nightlife. Buses operate frequently throughout the day and into the evenings to and from Aspen.
Located slope side on Fanny Hill the ski in ski out deluxe Silvertree Hotel has spacious hotel rooms and two bedroom suites all with private balconies. The hotel has a free ski valet service, ski shop, health club with an outdoor heated swimming pool and two in-house restaurants.
The Pokolodi Lodge is located less than 100 yards from the ski slopes. The lodge has 50 recently updated large hotel rooms all with ensuites, an outdoor heated swimming pool, free daily continental breakfast and an airport shuttle bus.
The Timberline Condominiums offer accommodation in studio and one, two and three bedroom condos. They all have full kitchens with spacious dining areas, lounge rooms with ipod docking stations, flat screen televisions, private entrances and balconies. The complex has an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, a bbq area and a complementarity airport shuttle bus.
Aspen Highlands is a small elite village home to the expensive and swanky Ritz Carlton Club. Located at the lift base area at Aspen Highlands the Ritz Carlton has spacious two and three bedroom condominiums with gourmet kitchens with state of the art appliances, open fireplaces, king size beds, walk in wardrobes and flat screen televisions. The complex has outdoor heated swimming pools and spas, private lounges, kids games rooms, babysitting services and 24 hour room service.
